Senior Curriculum

In Years 10 and 11, students follow one of two main pathways – IB MYP or the Composite pathway – each offering a different balance of subject focus and learning approach. These years are highly personalised, and it is common for elements of either pathway to be adapted or blended to create learning that fits each student’s needs. At the end of Year 9, teachers provide clear guidance to help students and families choose the pathway that offers the best fit for their strengths, interests, and future aspirations.

 Composite Programme (CP)

Our IGCSE/MYP Composite pathway gives students the best of both worlds—combining the subject depth and clear progression of IGCSE qualifications with the cross-curricular thinking, inquiry skills, and global perspective of the IB Middle Years Programme. This unique blend ensures students master rigorous subject content while developing the adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving skills needed for success in further study and life beyond.

Alongside their subject studies, students take part in distinctive programme elements:

  • Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) or IB Personal Project – A major independent project allowing students to explore an area of personal interest in depth.

  • Future Focus Lessons – Dedicated sessions ensuring students develop key  skills, including  communication, and self-management.

  • Interdisciplinary Learning – Guaranteed opportunities to connect concepts across subjects, integrating IGCSE and MYP perspectives.
