Wotton House Prep School offers a uniquely personalised education. Our small class sizes allow teachers to understand each pupil's needs and closely monitor their progress. We blend a robust academic foundation with experiential learning opportunities, including Farm School, residential trips, and dramatic productions. For safeguarding and to avoid disruption, we kindly ask that visits to Prep classes during the school day are arranged in advance rather than made without an appointment.

The standard admissions process usually involves an initial contact from the parents, followed by an arrangement for a visit and look around the school. Sometimes, a taster session for the student may be arranged before joining.

As of 2025, Wotton House Prep School enrols students aged 5 to 11. These pupils are distributed across three classes, each with an average of seven students.

We welcome students at any point during the school year. Our flexible curriculum and small group sizes allow for smooth integration.

As an independent school, Wotton House Prep School manages admissions to best serve both the institution and its students. Our primary concern is that each new pupil is content and can integrate smoothly into our community. Should we believe this may not be the case, we will inform you. While this is uncommon, transparency during the application process benefits all parties.

We do not select students on academic grounds and there are no entrance examinations. Where appropriate, a student’s place may be conditional on the family’s agreement to fund any required learning support. We encourage diagnostic testing so that our personalised learning decisions are informed by clear evidence.

Absolutely, we encourage all new entrants to visit us prior to joining. Some students may also need the opportunity for a taster day, while others do not.

Historically we have arranged Open Days but our focus on a personalised learning journey is logically best begun with a private viewing of the school.

Our policy on class size ensures that classes will always remain at 12 or below to optimise our active pedagogy and personalised focus.

Wotton House Prep School is a fees-funded institution with highly competitive tuition rates, allowing us to enrol a diverse range of families. We seldom offer scholarships, opting instead to distribute subsidies across all potential students rather than exclusively rewarding academic or athletic excellence.

The extra and co-curricular programme at Park House Prep is impressive. It ensures that all students participate in various activities, including martial arts, digital literacy (including coding and AI), garden design, cooking, and science master classes.
